SAFE@LAST in Schools
The people at SAFE@LAST like to talk about what we do - some days you can’t shut us up! So to give our friends and family a rest sometimes we come into schools to chat.
Someone from SAFE@LAST will come in and deliver an assembly or a workshop at a school where we tell young people all about us and what we do and we chat to them about running away. Often people think that running away isn’t a big issue and that no one else has ever felt like they do, but it’s not true. In the UK nearly 80,000 young people run away from home each year - that’s the same as over a 1000 double decker buses full!! It is really unsafe to be away from home and running away is never the answer. Young people can call SAFE@LAST if they are thinking of running away from home, or already have, and we can try to help.
